ACADEMIC INTEGRITY
Learning With Honesty and Confidence
Tutoring should help students understand concepts, strengthen their skills, and complete their own work with confidence. All tutoring services are provided in a way that supports learning and respects school and course policies.
HOW I CAN HELP
During tutoring sessions, I can:
- Explain difficult concepts in clear steps
- Guide students through practice problems
- Create similar examples for additional practice
- Review completed work and identify areas for improvement
- Help students prepare for quizzes and examinations
- Provide feedback on scientific writing and laboratory reports
- Explain proper citations and responsible use of sources
- Help students develop study plans and learning strategies
WHAT I CANNOT DO
I will not:
- Complete graded assignments for students
- Take quizzes, tests, or examinations for students
- Provide answers during an active examination
- Write essays, laboratory reports, or discussion posts for submission
- Fabricate research results, laboratory data, or citations
- Help students plagiarize or present another person’s work as their own
- Help students bypass academic rules, monitoring systems, or course requirements
- Access or use a student’s school account or login information
WORKING ON ASSIGNMENTS
Students may bring homework and assignments to tutoring sessions. I can explain the concepts, review the student’s approach, identify mistakes, and guide the student through similar examples. The student must make the final decisions, complete the work, and submit it in their own words.
SCIENTIFIC WRITING AND LABORATORY REPORTS
I can help students understand report structure, organize ideas, interpret results, improve clarity, and apply instructor feedback. I will not write an entire report for a student, invent experimental results, or change scientific findings to produce a desired conclusion.
RESPONSIBLE USE OF AI
AI tools may be used only when permitted by the student’s school, instructor, or course policy. I can help students use AI to support learning, brainstorming, and understanding. AI should not be used to replace the student’s thinking or create work that the student submits as entirely their own.
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Students are responsible for:
- Understanding their school and course policies
- Telling me when work is graded
- Completing and submitting their own work
- Asking questions when instructions are unclear
- Using tutoring support honestly
- Protecting their school login information
OUR SHARED COMMITMENT
My goal is not simply to help students find an answer. My goal is to help them understand how to reach the answer independently. By requesting tutoring, the student and parent or guardian agree that tutoring will be used for legitimate educational support.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I understand that tutoring provides academic guidance and does not include completing graded work, examinations, or assignments on behalf of a student.
